Our CPL Class meets all of the requirements to obtain a Michigan Concealed Pistol License. The class is 8-1/2 hours and covers firearms safety and handling, choosing a defensive firearm, mental preparation for using a firearm in self-defense, and Michigan and Federal law regarding firearm purchases, possession, and use. This class includes range time. You MUST have a handgun, quality holster, stiff belt, at least two (2+) magazines, 50 rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection. We have limited rentals of equipment available – contact us in advance. Please bring a lunch and dress for the weather.
BASIC CONCEALED CARRY

So you took a CPL class, but you’re not sure you are ready to carry a handgun concealed yet? This is the next class after your CPL class that will give you the basic fundamentals to be safely and confidently carry concealed. Class is four hours on the range working on safely manipulating your handgun, drawing and reholstering, and basic fundamentals to improve your accuracy. Required Equipment: handgun, quality holster, stiff belt, at least two (2+) magazines, 150 rounds of ammunition, a cover garment, eye and ear protection. Please bring a lunch, a chair, and dress for the weather.
ADVANCED CONCEAL CARRY

Much like Defensive Handgun Skills II, this is an advanced class to improve your skill and proficiency with defensive handgun use from concealment. This class teaches techniques for drawing from concealment in abnormal positions, use of cover and concealment, advanced reloads, and scenario training. Required Equipment: handgun, quality holster, stiff belt, at least three (3) magazines, 500 rounds of ammunition, a cover garment, eye and ear protection. Please bring a lunch, a chair, and dress for the weather. You MUST have taken Defensive Handgun Skills I and have a Michigan CPL to take this class.

DEFENSIVE HANDGUN SKILLS LEVEL I

This is our foundation level handgun class that covers fundamentals of defensive use of a handgun. We cover proper grip, stance, sight use, defensive marksmanship, drawing and reholstering, reloads, and malfunctions. Our goal is to improve your ability to successfully manipulate your handgun. You will learn drills to take home and use to continue to improve your abilities. Required Equipment: handgun, quality holster, stiff belt, at least three (3) magazines, 350-500 rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection. Please bring a lunch, a chair, and dress for the weather. You must have a Michigan CPL to take this class (or have taken a CPL class from us).
DEFENSIVE HANDGUN SKILLS LEVEL II

The next step in your evolution in defensive handgun use is increasing your speed and accuracy through more difficult and evolved drills that focus on specific skills. Learning to successfully place shots on target at increasing distances and with shorter time allowances will greatly improve your ability to use a handgun defensively. This is fundamentals plus. Required Equipment: handgun, quality holster, stiff belt, at least three (3) magazines, 500 rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection. Please bring a lunch, a chair, and dress for the weather. You MUST have taken Defensive Handgun Skills I and have a Michigan CPL to take this class.
ADVANCED CARBINE I

This is the foundation level class for defensive carbine use. We will cover carbine function and operation, proper stance, shooting positions (standing, kneeling, and prone, supported and unsupported), carbine zero, carbine manipulation, reloads, malfunctions, and close quarters accuracy. Required Equipment: carbine (AR-15, AK-47, or other), minimum five (5) magazines, magazine holster, 500 rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection. Please bring a lunch, a chair, and dress for the weather. You MUST have a Michigan CPL to take this class.
